On October 27, 2020, Kien Long Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Kienlongbank) celebrated its 25th anniversary (October 27, 1995 - October 27, 2020), continuing to affirm a brand with a vision to become a Green Brand and develop sustainably in the banking industry in Vietnam.
Kienlongbank was established in 1995 in Kien Giang province, with an initial charter capital of about VND 1.2 billion. Feeling empathy and understanding with farmers in finding capital sources to serve production, avoiding external loans with high interest rates, a team of associates with the same determination, unanimous, like-minded, pass over obstacles to put the first bricks in Kien Giang to build the Kienlongbank brand. With a history of 25 years of establishment and development, Kienlongbank has become one of the oldest joint stock commercial banks in the Mekong Delta region, with headquarters at 40-42-44, Pham Hong Thai, Vinh Thanh Van Ward, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province.
Through the restructuring period of the Vietnamese banking industry, Kienlongbank is one of 12 rural joint stock commercial banks that has transformed into an urban joint stock commercial bank and has developed stably and sustainably until today. As a “self-restructured” bank, Kienlongbank is one of the few banks that still operate stably, constantly develop, always maintain the safety targets and comply with the regulations of laws and of the State Bank.
